Voice Piano Teacher

Renee Monico has been a singer, actor and dancer since she was three years old. She spent most of her young adult life working in professional theaters throughout Maryland, taking private piano lessons, dance lessons and studying voice at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore. She then continued her performing education at The Hartt School (University of Hartford) where she earned a BFA in musical theatre. After college, she immediately was offered a touring contract with Theatre IV where she toured from small school cafeterias to 2,000 seat auditoriums performing The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, A Christmas Carol and Hugs and Kisses throughout the east coast. Then she went to NYC performing in cabarets, off-off Broadway shows, and bit parts in movies from Get Him to the Greek to Wall Street 2. From there she went on the equity national tour of Junie B. Jones playing the title role for the next 5 months.

It was after then that she decided to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and move to Orlando, Florida. Since then she has become a teacher for voice, piano and acting and performed in Grinchmas and the opening of Harry Potter Diagon Alley at Universal Studios and Sesame Street at SeaWorld. She has most recently been seen as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde at The Athens Theatre and the new musical, Seasons.
