Musical Theater, Intro to Drama

I moved to Florida from Ohio in order to live my dream of working for Disney.  

My first experience with acting was working in Disney entertainment (Characters on set, Here Come the Muppets) and several independent films IMDb (Mr. Bubbs, This Mans Life, and Americo ). During that time I was blessed to meet my incredible husband.

My ultimate passion, though, is to teach.  I graduated from UCF with a B.S. in Exceptional Student Education.  After the birth of my son I began substitute-teaching part time. I have been teaching in many different fields ever since, from preschool, substitute teaching, elementary school, and special education to drama and Musical Theater.  I feel that I have found my niche with OPMI having assisted with 10 shows during Drama Camp this past summer and assisting with Intro to Drama and Musical Theater.  I have a passion for nurturing children and encouraging them to identify their own strengths by motivating them to come out of their shells.  I inspire them to have goals and to be their best selves in a theatrical environment.  

I look forward to instilling work ethic and values in all of my students for lifelong effects.
