HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2010

OPMI wishes all students and their families a very Happy New Year and hopes everyone had a safe and enjoyable holiday season! I would like to personally welcome all new students to the OPMI family and we are looking forward to an exciting year ahead! Please check out the "Reflections Recital" information located in this newsletter for the upcoming date and location of our Spring Recital!

Instruments for Sale!

As a new feature to the OPMI website, we now have a classified section for used instruments. If you are looking to buy a used instrument, please check out the website under the "Used Instruments" tab and check what is available. If you are interested in selling an instrument, please click on the "Used Instruments" tab and fill out the information at the bottom of the page with a picture attached and we will gladly post it on the OPMI website at no charge!

Instructor News and Views

Amy Hughes, one of OPMI's talented vocal and piano instructors is currently music directing Seussical at Celebration High School! They are working towards performances the first two weekends in March!

She is also getting ready to music direct "Sound of Music" at the Osceola Center for the Arts. Student auditions are January 31st from 5pm-8pm. Adult auditions are February 1st and 2nd from 6pm to 10pm. Auditioners should prepare 16 bars, be prepared to read from the script and possibly dance. She'd love to see any and all of our vocal students (or teachers!) audition. If you need additional information, you can check it out on the Center's website www.ocfta.com.

Reflections

Spring Recital March 20, 2010

Celebration School K8 Cafeteria 11:00 am

Our Spring recital date has been set and this year the Theme is "Reflections". Students and instructors will be choosing music that reflects personal interest for each student. Students will be expressing various musical styles and songs which have inspired them. The program for this recital will also reflect student's comments and personal feelings for each song they perform. Please check out the OPMI website for the recital permission form and get those submitted by March 13th, 2010! Looking forward to seeing all you there!

Notable Reminder

Cancellation Policy: Please note that if you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson for any reason, 24 hour notice must be given to Joanna Crews or your instructor in order to possibly reschedule your lesson or to receive credit on your next month’s bill. If a 24 hour notice is not received, payment for that missed lesson will be required without the option to reschedule the lesson.

Current Specials - Promotions

For the months of February and March, students who have not had to cancel ANY lessons will be entered into a drawing to receive a FREE lesson in the month of April. Rescheduled lessons will not count against you providing the instructor is able to accommodate you, and a 24 hour notice has been given. Eligible students are those who have subscribed to the newsletter and take lessons on a weekly basis. Good luck!!!
